Floyd County officials have set a date for an open house for the public to get a closer look at the new Law Enforcement Center in Charles City.
Board of Supervisors Chair Linda Tjaden says the LEC will be available for citizens to walk through the facility from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 30th. Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies will be stationed throughout the building and there will be Question and Answer times at 10:45 and 11:45 a.m. to explain further how the facility will be used.
Tjaden says, “This will be the last opportunity for the public to walk through the building, so we encourage everyone to come during this two-hour open house time period to see where and how their tax dollars were spent.”
Parking is available in the parking lot north of the county courthouse and within the parking area next to the LEC. Entrance will be through one of the LEC garages rather than using the front entrance to the building.
