The Charles City Fire Department hosts a pancake breakfast this Sunday.
Chief Eric Whipple says free will donations are being accepted for pancakes, ham, and coffee, juice, or milk with proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Whipple says they’re prepared to serve between 300 and 400 people from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday. There will also be a fire safety house display and visitors can tour the fire station, including the remodeling of space for AMR Ambulance Services, which Whipple says is almost complete.
The City of Charles City is sharing the cost of the AMR project with Floyd County.
