After being cancelled last year due to COVID-19, the Floyd County Izaak Walton League’s chili supper returns Friday (10.08) night for its 40th annual event.
Membership Chairman Randy Vandeventer says despite the absence of the fundraiser, the league made it through 2020 in decent shape.
Vandeventer says while the league is best known for helping with tree-related projects, they do “branch” out to other conservation efforts as well.
Vandeventer says they’re prepared to serve upwards of 300 people for the chili supper from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Charles City High School cafeteria. Tickets are $7 for adults. Preschoolers can eat for free.
