Four Years and 8 Rescheduled Trials Later, Nashua Man Sentenced for Child Sex Abuse

Four years after his arrest and after his trial was rescheduled eight times, a Nashua man has agreed to a plea deal in child sex abuse case.

41-year-old William Dooly was charged in November 2017 with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse involving minor children, all felony charges. He was also accused of threatening one of his victims with a gun and telling the child to keep the abuse a secret.

Dooly pleaded not guilty to original charges, but after multiple trial reschedules, he pleaded guilty in July to three reduced charges of child endangerment, all aggravated misdemeanors.

Dooly has been given two years of supervised probation and a no-contact order will remain in place for five years. Dooly must also pay damages to his victims.
