Cleanup in the wake of recent storms continues for Floyd County Conservation.
Executive Director Adam Sears told the Floyd County Board of Supervisors Monday that West Idlewild and Colwell parks were impacted most by flooding the last weekend in August.
Sears says high winds from the system that spawned tornadoes in the Marble Rock area also caused temporary park closures at the Tosanak Recreation Area and Ackley Creek. Heavy rains also did their damage.
Sears also informed supervisors the conservation board has applied for grants in hopes of adding a playground at the Fossil and Prairie Park near Rockford.
