Almost 1,000 customers of MidAmerican Energy in Floyd County lost electrical power shortly after 11 a.m. Friday due to storm activity in the area.
According to the company’s outage website, 969 customers, about 20% of their customers in the county, at one time were without electrical power. 845 of those customers were on the south side of Charles City.
Just before noon, the number of outages had been reduced to 567 for the county as a whole, Charles City’s outage number down to 448.
AT 12:35 p.m., the outage was down to just one customer.
