Two People Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Nora Springs

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday night about four miles west of Nora Springs.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office said the wreck happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of 265th Street and Vine Avenue. A truck driven by Kade Hambly of Mason City failed to stop at the sign, entered the intersection and collided with the vehicle driven by 27-year-old Eppie Johnson of Rock Falls.

Authorities say Johnson and a passenger in his vehicle, 24-year-old Shaylin McRoberts suffered minor injuries. They were taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City for treatment of their injuries.

Hambly was charged with OWI-second offense, driving while revoked and failure to yield the right of way.
