Rockford FFA Wins Gold at State Leadership Conference

Des Moines, IA – FFA chapters from across the state gathered on April 19-20th to compete in
Career Development Events and Leadership Workshops at the annual State Leadership Conference.
It was moved to Des Moines to allow for more space due to Covid-19 Guidelines.

Rockford FFA competed in Chapter Display, Poultry Judging, Greenhand Quiz and Reporters
Scrapbook. Their chapter display placed Gold. The display was on the chapter’s activity of raising
chicks to then gift to new members in need of a Supervised Ag Experience. Members participating
were Dawson Schriever, Rebecca Bartling, and Gabrielle Keith. Poultry judging, comprised of
Catherine Dow, Landon Arends, and Malorie Walker, received Silver. Greenhand quiz members
Kynsie Lyman and Avaree Jeffries got Bronze and Reporters Scrapbook, made by Catherine Dow
and Rebecca Bartling, also received Bronze.

Rockford FFA also had two voting delegates, Caleb Paulus and Wesley Knecht. Also three of the
members were in the State Chorus. Wesley Knecht, Gabrielle Keith and Caleb Paulus. Three more
members also received their Iowa degree. They were Dawson Schriever, Rebecca Bartling, and
Gabrielle Keith.
