Two Minnesota women charged with numerous traffic fines, drug charges after high-speed pursuit

Mason City, IA – Two Minnesota women are facing charges after leading police on a high-speed chase through 3 North Iowa counties over the weekend that reached speeds in excess of 150 mph at times.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a trooper attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on the Avenue of the Saints near Plainfield when the vehicle failed to yield.

The chase continued northbound through Floyd and Cerro Gordo county, with the women tossing items from the vehicle at times.

Police use stop sticks throughout the chase before the vehicle pulled over just outside of Mason City.

The driver 35-year-old Marion Baca and her passenger, 32-year-old Heather Krumrie, both of Minnesota, were arrested. Baca is facing multiple traffic and drug charges. Krumrie is facing drug charges.
