
New Hampton, IA – Two New Hampton School District projects submitted to the McElroy Trust, which partners with Keystone AEA, were awarded recently to the district.
District librarian Stefanie Throndson was awarded $1,457.00 for a STEM on the Go project. The project will allow New Hampton elementary students the opportunity to take home a backpack with one book and two STEM activities related to the book.
High school ag teachers James Russ and Steve Pfaffle were awarded $1,980 for an Ag Minute program. This will allow ag students an opportunity to produce a 60-second news eather that will highlight the role agriculture and farming plays in Iowans’ lives.
Keystone AEA received forty-seven grant applications and sixteen projects were awarded funding.
