CP Holiday Train set to be only virtual this season

Like a moving lighthouse, the CP Holiday Train often glides through Iowa towns dazzling onlookers and gathering food bank donations. But at this point you guessed it: the decked-out and LED-heavy CP Holiday Train is going virtual this season.

In the past, the CP Holiday Train has stopped in Charles City and surrounding towns to put on a short concert and to accept food bank donations.

But according to CP:

“…this year, its first—and only—stop is your home! Although the train might look a bit different this year, we’re keeping the spirit of Christmas alive with a virtual concert via Facebook Live on December 12 at 6 MT to raise money for food banks across North America.”

This year’s virtual video and concert will headline performances by Serena Ryder, The Trews, JoJo Mason, Logan Staats and Kelly Prescott.

CP hopes that communities still find it in their hearts to donate to families in need – by going to: www.feedingamerica.org/HolidayTrain.
