FULL DETAILS: Halloween in New Hampton

Halloween in New Hampton is going to be minus the annual Halloween parade this year – as the pandemic was bound to put a twist on the holiday. Park and Recreation Tara Hackman says trick-or-treating is still tabbed for October 31st – but due to adult Halloween parties and safety measures, it will be earlier this year from 2-5 p.m.

For New Hampton households, eager to hand out candy – Hackman explains how somebody can designate their home as a trick-or-treating zone:

Hackman says the parade usually is capped-off with a costume contest. The board didn’t want to cancel the contest as well – so it will be held virtually this year.

According to AccuWeather.com, New Hampton is set for a high of 46 degrees with winds gusting as strong as 23 MPH. Comparably to last year’s Halloween weather, the night should be 12 degrees warmer.
