Charles City Lion’s Club annual ‘Pancake Breakfast’ pivots to drive-thru event (September 13th)

The Annual Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, normally held at the Northeast Iowa Airport, will be pivoting to a drive-thru approach this year – as COVID-19 continues to put pressure on events to adapt.

The event will be on September 13th from 9 a.m. to noon.

Member Delaine Freesman says the ‘drive-thru’ will happen on the north side of Central Park on Blunt Street.

The breakfast is only $5.00 and will get you pancakes, sausage, with butter and syrup. This is “take & eat only” so no beverages or utensils will be available.

Freesman says the fundraiser is one of their most important ones.

All of the proceeds from the breakfast will be pumped back into Charles City via club projects.
