Charles City Art Center’s ‘Art-a-Fest’ to still be held August 15th; mostly virtually

With beloved summer events falling like flies, the Charles City Art-a-Fest holds steady with their August 15th event date; though, many of the festivities will be held virtually this year. Art-a-Fest is an annual summer event held in Central Park. Local and area artists put their dazzling and colorful work all in one place to be seen and purchased.

This year, artists will be given dates to come build their displays in the Charles City Art Center. Photos will be taken and uploaded to the CCAC website to be viewed.

Then on August 15th starting at 9 a.m., they will go live and customers will be able to pick up their new art piece curbside at the CCAC.

The entire event is going to live streamed on Facebook.

At least one food vendor will be outside the CCAC for the extent of the day so that customers will be able to grab a bite as they grab their item.

Children will also be supplied chalk to draw on the sidewalks outside (with appointment) and be given goodie bags for their hard work.
