Many guessed it, the ‘Big 4 Fair’ annually held in Nashua is now cancelled. An event normally held on Labor Day weekend each year is a noteworthy casualty to the virus’s anti-fun agenda.
A Facebook post on the ‘Big 4 Fair’ page from August 2nd reads:
“After weighing the risk and the benefits the Big 4 Fair Directors have decided to cancel the 2020 Fair. Plans are already being made for 2021, hopefully the community can understand this very tough decision. Thank you and hope to see you in 2021.”
The ‘Big 4’ refers to Floyd, Chickasaw, Butler, and Bremer Counties that all contribute each year to the fair. The cancellation was mostly due to safety concerns – but also many of the event’s vendors had pulled out and monetary issues were starting to arise.
