Osage mayor praises town for being social but safe after reopenings; Mitchell County at 22 cases

Osage’s Mayor Steve Cooper says that the entire community is very cautious about the pandemic, but are almost completely reopened. He says comparably Osage wasn’t hit financially as hard as other places.

As of June 30th, Mitchell County has 22 confirmed cases of COVID-19; with half of these cases (11) coming in a week’s time.

Cooper says this uptick and cautious side of the community has forced the area to cancel or change a lot of their big yearly events.

Cooper applauds the area for socializing while remembering to keep safe.
