MercyOne New Hampton opens front doors to public (with restrictions)

MercyOne New Hampton’s front door is now open to the public – but with restrictions. The front door will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekday. According to the New Hampton Tribune, temperatures will still need to be taken at the door and masks will need to be worn everywhere in the facility.

Jennifer Monteith of MercyOne says: “One of the reasons we shut that entrance is that when we weren’t doing same-day surgeries or outpatient tests, we didn’t have that flow of people yet if we had kept it open, we would have had to staff it. We would have had to have that extra screener.”

MercyOne will continue to have extra cleaning measures to counteract any COVID-19 spread. And the hospital will remain closed to visitors at this time.
