Floyd County Medical Center now offering botox services

Elected procedures are back at Floyd County Medical Center and according to Surgeon Angela VanGilder, the hospital is now offering botox services.

VanGilder explains what botox procedures can correct.

Botox can also be used to treat people with migraine headaches.

VanGilder says botox is not a very painful procedure and that she uses her tiniest needle to funnel the botox.

The prices vary for the treatment of facial wrinkles and lines and it isn’t covered by insurance.

Generally, a face will need 30-40 units at the price of $12 per unit.

Using botox for migraine treatment can sometimes be covered on insurance – one should check with their provider.
