Charles City schools food program to continue through July; some changes

The food program for the Charles City School District has been pumping out hundreds of meals for students for months now. Communications Director Justin DeVore says this will continue well into the summer months; though, there will be some changes.

 

The program, which usually runs until the end of the summer school schedule, is being extended through the month of July – with July 31st being the final day.

Starting June, the program will only run once a week (on Thursdays) where students will pick up all ten meals to be dispersed throughout the week. A location change is also imminent for the program as when June begins, the operations will shift from Washington Elementary School to Charles City High School.
