Charles City Fire Department distributing free sanitizer to locals

Donations all around! Good will is spreading abundantly around the state of Iowa every since the pandemic took off. For those looking to refill on their sanitizer stash, the Charles City Fire Rescue team has a crate-full that is being distributed on a first-come basis.

The CCFR Facebook page posted saying:

“A big thank you to Homeland Energy of Lawler, IA for their donation of Alcohol Antiseptic Topical Solution (Sanitizer) to the City of Charles City!”

Locals should come to the Charles City Fire Station at 704 South Grand Avenue with an empty bottle. The sanitizer is very thin and water-like. Though, the station says adding Aloe to the solution can make it more gel-like.

CCFR is hoping those who take sanitizer will only take what they need and remain ‘frugal’ with the supply.
