Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Charles City on Wednesday

The Northeast Iowa Food Bank trucks are coming back! On April 29th at noon to 1 p.m., the bank will be distributing food to families at the Charles City High School parking lot. Volunteer Erik Hoefer says the need for this service in town is becoming larger and larger.

The food bank team is asking a potential recipient to remember 3 things:

  • To bring a photo ID,
  • Only 2 people per vehicle¬†
  • Approach the front of the line with your trunk or rear door open and cleared

Hoefer says at-risk or anxious locals will not have to worry about coming in unsafe contact with volunteers.

Lastly, those unable to either get a reliable ride to the high school or have prior obligations are encouraged to call Pastor Debrea Lincoln at 641-257-1119 to order delivery.

Here are the parameters to apply for the pantry:

1-person household: $1,666 gross monthly income

2-person household: $2,256 gross monthly income

3-person household: $2,845 gross monthly income

4-person household: $3,434 gross monthly income
