New Hampton police chief describes how they do traffic stops with social distancing

Everyone is being forced to make micro-adjustments in how they do their job – live their life. Police officers, like the ones at the New Hampton Police Department, have job titles which state they are to serve the people. Trouble is, with social distancing, they can’t get anywhere near them.

 

New Hampton Police Chief Zach Nosbisch knows traffic stops are a rather larger portion of any police officer’s job. This part of the job involves a lot of closer-quarter one on one attention – this was bound to change.
