Charles City school board (3/23) preview; Facebook live information

The Charles City school board has a lot to talk about. Following the direction of the Governor, CC schools are cancelled until April 13th – which the school will not have to make up. In that realm, the board is planning to have their scheduled meeting tonight at 6:15 p.m. at the high school study hall room – Communications Director Justin DeVore encourages the public not to come and instead watch on Facebook live.

Superintendent Mike Fisher will open a discussion about the school system’s response efforts in regards to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The board will discuss whether to approve the technology purchase project they have been working on which includes 5-year leases of 1360 HP student devices, 132 audio visual classrooms, and 44 TOshiba and Lexmark products.

Lastly, the board will take action on their ‘summer project update’ – which involves facility projects.

To combat a room full of patrons, the board is offering a call in number 1-563-293-6655 with the PIN being 489154730. Or they encourage locals to watch on their Facebook live stream at: www.facebook.com/CharlesCityCSD.
