New Hampton ahead of Charles City in broadband race

According to New Hampton Mayor Bobby Schwickerath, the telecommunications building in town is a month away from having their equipment room entirely done and operational. To put this in perspective, the telecom board in Charles City has just purchased its perspective property. To put it lightly, New Hampton is miles ahead in terms of securing broadband internet for its city.

Not only is the telecom center working on its website, it has the rates posted for all services – even TV which Schwicherath reiterated.

The interior of the telecom center in New Hampton should be completely done by May of this year. In the meantime, burying of wire and cables will be on the menu for the city. And by fall, the 1st phase of customers should be able to use their services.
