Riceville’s ‘Wildcat Activity Center’ making huge winter construction progress

Riceville’s enrollment is so high of late, they have been encouraged to tackle multiple projects at once. For instance, a new district bus barn was finished just this year. And now, the area and school system is one step closer to their crowning jewel – the Wildcat Activity Center.

The center will kill multiple birds with one stone – housing middle school practices, indoor recess when needed, and locals can use it as a workout facility.

Even in the winter months, the construction team is scraping to finish the project. As seen in the picture above, the spine of the building is already up.

As spring is sprung, the building will continue to blossom into one of the fixtures of the Riceville area. KCHANews will keep you updated on this project and all things North Iowa News.
