Rotary Radio Auction raises almost $7000 for area scholarships and improvements

Prior to this year’s event, Rotary member Tammy Elthon wondered if the radio auction had run its course in this town; if it would have trouble keeping up with past successes. This turned out to be a misguided fear, as the Rotary Auction on February 1st brought in the 2nd most funds in the event’s history – $6,826.

This new found wealth for Rotary will be going towards community items such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and safety kits. But an extensive amount always goes towards the area students.

Elthon cites the sports tickets and experience items offered, for the event’s big success.
