Bread of Life Market closes in less than a week; asset auction set

In early January, the Beard of Life Market (BOLM) in Charles city, announced its final business day – February 11th. We are now less than a week away from its end date, and the discounts are piling up.

On the BOLM Facebook page, the store has announced a store-wide 75% off discount on all items. This may increase even further as the clock drips for the store. All the items and shelving still left in the store on February 12th, will be auctioned off at 9 a.m. on February 15th.

A pre-auction viewing of all the merchandise and assets will occur on February 14th. For more information, call 641-228-3236.

BOLM was a discount alternative to grocery stores such as Hy-Vee and Fareway, but employees cited a lack of ‘community support’ as its biggest reason for its closure.
