The Charles City school board will be holding another meeting outside of the middle school as they make their rounds to all the Comet facilities. Tonight’s meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. in the Study Hall Room at the high school.
Like every meeting, a minor section of the time will be used for any public comments locals might have for the board. Comment topics are restricted to only those on the agenda.
A highlight of the meeting includes NIACC President Steve Schulz presenting to the board about NIACC’s levy fund and tax impact in the district. Schulz is attempting to convince area schools to support NIACC in the upcoming bond issue.
Students representing the FFA program will be in attendance to present information and take-aways from their trip to the National Convention.
And the board will discuss their plan to receive a 3.79% interest rate loan from First Security Bank to help finance the Comet Field Lighting project. The full loan will be for just under $240,000.
