The mystery is over: new pharmacy to move in on Charles City’s Main Street

North Iowa News posted an article asking locals what they thought was going to move into the old Lidd and Cordray’s building on Main Street in Charles City. Many had idealistic choices for the spot, including, “an arcade,” or, “a Walmart.” But even more so, people understood that after KMart’s pharmacy closed in 2019, the town was going to need another one.

According to multiple sources, the rumors are true, a pharmacy by the name of Main Street Drug Inc. is the new Chuck Town attraction. The store will be run by owners Shane and Cynthia Uetz. Cynthia was the pharmacy manager at the Charles City KMart and so she was aware the town needed another option aside from HyVee. The store is projected to be ready for business this spring.

Main Street Drug promises excellent customer service and also delivery to anywhere in town. The delivery range is not yet set for surrounding towns.

The store will also carry a hosh-posh of items outside of the pharmacy that are yet to be determined.
