Charles City city board meeting preview (1/20)

For what should-be a short and sweet Charles City city council meeting, the board will meet at 6 p.m. tonight at City Hall. Most of the agenda items are either public hearings or resolutions:

A highlight of the meeting includes a public hearing on the 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining project. The board will consider the specifications and decide whether to award a contract and bond for the project itself.

Another highlight is the board’s consideration of the approval of a resolution the Charles City Police Department has with their K-9 program. This involves taking K-9 Jordy off the force and adding a new one to replace him.

Lastly, a new design for the water tower in Charles City has been released. The board will decide on whether to accept the art work and push forward with the project.
