Benefit to be held to offset Turkey Valley student’s medical expenses

For a Turkey Valley High School Senior, living is expensive. According to the New Hampton Tribune, Parker Poor, a 17-year-old boy who was born with an extremely rare chromosomal abnormality, has had about 30 surgeries in his lifetime.

The Turkey Valley area and schools are going to attempt to back him. That is why on January 26th at the Waucoma Event Center, a fundraising event titled, “Parker’s Benefit,” is going to be held. This event will try to offset steep medical expenses and help the family purchase two Sleep Number beds for Poor use.

The event will include a social hour, meal, a silent auction, and then a live auction to round out the night.
