Red Cross Blood Drive coming to IC Church in Charles City

There is almost always a shortage of blood. To combat this, the Red Cross will be holding a drive on January 30th at the Social Hall in Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City. This event will span from 1 to 6 p.m. and be in conjunction with IC School and a program called Pint Sized Heroes. Event Coordinator Lilly Usher says donors should expect a ton of little helpers.

Usher says putting on this type of event will allow many IC alumni to create larger college scholarship accounts as it has for her. Usher pitches possible donors:

The Red Cross has developed an app so you can follow your blood from vein to vein. And Usher reminds donors to complete their health screening on the app or in person prior to their donation time.
