The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council is granting Iowa BIG North additional funding. This will be taken out of the STEM BEST Program Enhancement Fund and will further Iowa BIG North’s pursuit to create valuable collaboration between the schools and the community businesses.
The funds will be used to, “strengthen partnerships, enhance experiences for students and increase participation of students of diversity.”
Iowa BIG North is an initiative based learning course that focuses on real-world problems to better prepare students for life outside of the safety net.
Schools who will receive the funding:
New Hampton, Charles City, Turkey Valley, Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock, Riceville and Osage Community School Districts.
