Charles City TLC eyeing the old middle school for new home

TLC after hours event!

Charles City- Last night (Aug 13), TLC hosted an event to unveil their floor plan for if they move into the old middle school on North Grand Avenue. This follows the steady incline of parents who have been relying on TLC for their child-care needs. TLC Director, Pam Ost sites the number of children has doubled from 42 to more than 80 over the last couple years. Mayor Dean Andrews weighs in:

 

Andrews also says TLC obviously needed more room for activities. 

 

Longtime Foster Grandmother, Betty High says she is excited for the project overall and can’t wait to continue to do the job that brings her everlasting joy.

 

The middle school still will require a new roof and TLC will need to figure out the logistics of it in order to move in.
