Charles City Rotarty lends hand to playground construction

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Rotary club recently gathered their passion for children and put it to use as they upgraded park equipment at Washington Elementary School.

Jenni Miller with the group says they help build an all inclusive play-ground for children.

The new equipment is also handicap accessible.

The project hits home for Miller who says when the district approached the group for help, she says it was a no-brainer.

According to Miller, Charles City joins communities like Cedar Rapids who have all inclusive playgrounds.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
