The fourth-ranked Charles City softball team used three innings and 15 runs to dispatch Oewlein.

The New Hampton Chickasaws rebounded after losing both games to Charles City Wednesday night by beating Waukon 8-4. Kayla Crooks blasted a homer in the game. New Hampton is 10-4.
Baseball
The New Hampton baseball team’s perfect season is over. The Denver Cyclones handed the Chickasaws their first loss of the season, 7-1. Hunter Pesek recorded the only hits of the game and Austin Hemann is served the loss. New Hampton is 12-1.
Basektball
The Iowa men will play Syracuse next season as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
