The New Hampton softball team flexed its muscles over Waverly Shell Rock. They bounced the GoHawks 19-4 to improve to 8-2.
The 3-5 Nashua-Plainfield Huskies fell to the Bishop Garrigan Bears 5-4 in extra innings afer a Meghan Wright homer tied the game.
North Butler’s 6-0 win over Lake Mills pushes their record to 6-2.
Osage notched their second straight win, thumping Garner-Hayfield-Ventura 15-5. The Green Devils improve to 5-6.
A 6-5 loss for the Rockford Warriors against North Union drops the Warriors to 5-3.
Riceville picked up a 9-0 win over North Tama.
South Winneshiek dueled MFL-Mar-Mac in a double header, we’ve only got one score to pass along and it’s a Warrior win 5-1 in game one. South Winn is 4-5.
Baseball
Mark two more wins on New Hampton’s resume. The seventh-rated Chickasaws are 11-0 after sweeping Decorah 9-4 and 13-8.
Nashua-Plainfield dropped to 3-3 last night after losing to Bishop Garrigan 8-3.
Rockford got their bats going early and often yesterday dropping North Union 12-0. The Warriors are 5-3.
A 5-0 shutout loss to Lake Mills has dropped North Butler’s record to 4-4.
Osage’s Hayden Meek smashed a two-run homer to give the Green Devils their fourth win of the season over Garner-Hayfield-Vetura last night. Osage is 4-2.
South Winneshiek and North Fayette Valley dueled in double header and the Warriors won both games shutting out the TigerHawks 2-0 and 6-0. South Winn is 8-3. North Fayette is 4-6.
