Charles City, Iowa – Two presidential hopefuls made campaign stops in Charles City on Saturday afternoon.
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar spoke at Representative Todd Prichard’s house and highlighted her goals for the presidency, which included comprehensive immigration reform.
Klobuchar spoke to over 100 supporters and continued to highlight her goals such as tackling global warming, fixing health care and agriculture.
Kirsten Gillibrand spoke at Jim Davis’s office Saturday minuets after Klobuchar finished her speech.
The junior senator from New York spoke with her supporters and commented on the divide of the country.
Gillibrand highlighted the ongoing trade issues with China and touted her experience on the agriculture committee calling it a ‘national security’ issue.
Before taking questions, Gillibrand called global warming the ‘biggest humanitarian threat today.’
She also discussed her healthcare platform, gun rights and immigration.
