Overnight shooting leaves one injured in Mason City

Mason City, Iowa – The Mason City Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting.

Police say they received reports of several gunshots came in around 11 Tuesday night in the 200 block of 5th Street Northeast.  An investigation determined the shots came in the 400 block of North Pennsylvania.

Officers found one residence with several bullet holes in the front of it and located an injured subject. This person was taken to Mercy One North Iowa was treated and released according to law enforcement.

Police believe the incident to be isolated and are asking anyone with information to contact Mason City Police.
