New Hampton, Iowa – New Hampton junior and seniors put themselves and their resumes in front of potential employers at a career and networking fair Wednesday morning.
The event created by Iowa Big North provided students the chance to meet and potentially interview with area employers.
One of the event’s organizers Regan Gebel tells North Iowa News they didn’t have a lot of interest early but today area business packed the gym.
Businesses like McDonalds, TriMark, ATeK Metal Technologies and State Bank were able to provide details to show students what they can offer to them.
Gebel says one of the goals is to have students enter the workforce in Northeast Iowa.
Tara Hackman is with New Hampton Parks and Recreation and says an event like this will help provide opportunities students may not know of.
After talking with businesses, the students had 30 minutes to revisit potential employers.
