Charles City, Iowa – Another arctic blast froze Northeast Iowa Sunday night and Monday morning.
With low temperatures hovering at -10, mild wilds dropped the mercury to -20 to -35 across the area Monday morning. Charles City’s wind chill was -29, New Hampton checked in at 32 below zero and places like Decorah and Oelwein clocked in at -25.
Sub zero temperatures remain throughout the day today but gradually become warmer through Monday night into Tuesday as temperatures will climb to the mid-teens.
Snow chances return at the end of the week.
