Recommendation Could Allow County Wage Hikes For Elected Officials

Charles City, Iowa – The Floyd County Compensation board is recommending wage hikes for the county’s elected officials.

The increases range from 2.6 percent to 4.8 percent.  Members of the board decided to increase salaries based on a straight dollar increase versus percentages.

The supervisors receive the lowest increase of a thousand dollars while the county attorney receives the highest of 4,800 dollars.

The board also recommended raises for the sheriff, auditor, treasurer and recorder.

The board of supervisors have to approve or adjust the recommendations during their budget planning sessions next year.
