Authorities Identify Man Who Died In House Fire

Clarksville, Iowa – A man who died in a house fire in Clarksville has been identified as 50-year-old Danny Coonley of Clarksville.

The city’s Police Chief Barry Mackey tells KCHA News the fire remains under investigation.

 

About 9:30 Monday night, the Clarksville Fire Department responded to the blaze. Firefighters were on the scene until 3 am before returning  around 5:30 because of reignition. Due to the unsafe conditions, they elected to let the home burn to the ground.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
