Local Librarians Hosting Own Program Inspired By ‘The Great American Read’

New Hampton, Iowa – Bookworms of Chickasaw County have turned a nationally-known program into a local book lover’s dream.

The Carnegie Cultural Center in New Hampton is hosting a local version of the Great American Read.  American’s voted on their favorite book and Jill Eike says they were inspired by the PBS Documentary to do something locally.

 

All libraries in Chickasaw county are participating and anyone can go vote for their favorite book.  The reception and reveal will be at 2.

 

The event is from 2-3 at the Carnegie Cultural Center in New Hampton on Sunday.
