Quarterback Zeb Noland Leaving Iowa State, Opposing Head Coaches Preview The Saturday Slate

Quarterback Zeb Noland is leaving Iowa State. Todd Kimm reports.

#19 Iowa at Purdue

Two teams hoping to bounce back from losses collide this week when Iowa visits Purdue and the winner will stay in the hunt in the Big Ten West. The Hawkeyes had a three game win streak snapped with a 30-24 loss at Penn State while the Boiler’s four-game winning streak came to an end with a 23-13 setback at Michigan State.

That’s Purdue coach Jeff Brohm who says Iowa’s defense is a concern.

Brohm says the Iowa defense puts pressure on the quarterback without blitzing.

Brohm says the Purdue corners played too soft against Michigan State and he wants more press coverage against the Hawkeyes.

Iowa State at Kansas

Kansas coach David Beaty says the Jayhawks don’t have time to celebrate their first Big-12 win in two years. Kansas edged TCU 27-26 and this week will host an Iowa State team that has won three straight.

Beaty says the Jayhawks need to find a way to contain Iowa State running back David Montgomery.

Beaty is not surprised with the success ISU freshman quarterback Brock Purdy is having.
