Supervisors Approve Petition To Rezone LEC Property, Bond Underwriter And Weed Report Approved

Charles City, Iowa –  The Floyd County Supervisors met this morning and approved a petition for the city of Charles City to rezone the 101 and 111 South Jackson street.

Auditor Gloria Carr said they need fifty percent of property owner’s signatures within 200 feet of the property.  After that it can move forward to the planning and zoning committee before a public hearing.

Chairwoman Linda Tjaden says organization is key for the county moving forward with the project as they work with the city.

The county approved Northland Securities as the bond underwriter for the courthouse updates and law enforcement center.  They also approved the week commissioner report for the county which has several weeds listen as a problem such as thistles, certain grasses, mustard and sunflowers.
