The New Hampton Chickasaws search for their first win of the season tonight.  They’ll face an 0-4 Forrest City team who spotted West Hancock 50 points last week.  You can hear the game starting at 7 with the pregame show and 7:30 kickoff with Neil Stone on 95.1 The Bull, online at or download the mobile app.

Nashua-Plainfield looks for their first win and points of the season tonight on the road at eighth-ranked Saint Ansgar.  The Saints are coming off two dominating performances after their loss to Osage. The Saints are 3-1 this year.

The 4-0 Sumner-Fredricksburg Cougars travel to Lake Mills tonight.  Last week Lake Mills snapped a three-game losing streak after beating North Union 20-12.

Third-ranked Turkey Valley travels to Central City trying to keep their spotless record intact.  Central City is 4-0 and coming off of a 60-12 smashing of Kee High last week.

After blanking Starmont 49-0 last week, the South Winneshiek Warriors try to make it three wins in a row traveling to Wapsie Valley tonight.  Wapsie Valley is 3-1 too and is also coming off of a shut-out, week four win. They beet GMG 39-0.

The North Fayette Valley Tiger-Hawks lost their first three games of the year, but rebounded last week with their first victory of the season.  The Tiger-Hawks look for their second consecutive win tonight hosting 1-3 Anamosa. Anamosa has dropped three straight games, the last two by one possession.  

Last night’s and this weekend’s volleyball matchups:

The Sumner-Fredricksburg snap their losing streak by taking both games in the Denver triangular last night.  The Cougars won in straight sets over Denver and downed Wapsie Valley 3-1. They will head back to Denver tomorrow for a tournament.

The Turkey Valley Trojans fell to West Central last night in straight sets.  They’ll travel to the Dunkerton tournament tomorrow.

North Fayette Valley picked up their sixth win of the season last night beating Postville in straight sets.  The Tiger-Hawks travel to MFL-Mar-Mac Tuesday.

South Winneshiek is in the Decorah tournament tomorrow.

The Nashua-Plainfield Huskies travel to the Dunkerton tournament tomorrow.
