“Keg & Bottle” Nearly Sold Out, Limited Tickets Remain

Charles City, Iowa – A limited number of tickets remain for a traditional Fall celebration in Charles City featuring a new twist this year.

Only 225 tickets will be sold for “Keg & Bottle” on Saturday, September 29th, an outdoor take of the traditional Chucktown Brewfest put on by Community Revitalization from 4-8 p.m. Central Park will be the venue for this evening of food, fun and games celebrating all things Fall. In addition to sampling Iowa craft beers and enjoying German-style music, food and games such as the always popular Hammerschlagen, this year’s version of Brewfest will also feature wine samples. The outdoor ambiance in the park, especially at sunset and dusk, should further add to the Fall flavor of this event. In the case of inclement weather, Keg & Bottle will be held at the Columbus Club at 502 Clark St.

Tickets are $30 and include food, samples of each featured beer/wine, along with a special keepsake Keg & Bottle glass. Traditional live polka music will be supplied by Marc Frana from 5-7 p.m., and there will be an opportunity to bid on a number of different wine and beer themed silent auction baskets throughout the evening. Tickets are available while they last at the Community Development Office at 401 North Main St., as well as the Charles City Hy-Vee service counter.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
