Big Brothers Big Sisters Program Starting In Chickasaw County

New Hampton, Iowa – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa announced their expanding their offices to Chickasaw County.  The one-to-one mentoring program’s office will be located at 25 ½ east main street in New Hampton.

New Hampton resident Sara Noehl joins Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa as the Program Manager for Chickasaw County. Noehl graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and has most recently served as a caseworker for Lutheran Services in Iowa the past 5 years.  Previously she worked for Mercy Medical Center and as a child care consultant for Child Care Resource & Referral. 

Noehl and other Big Brothers Big Sisters members have begun the process of re-enrolling current STAR Mentoring mentor/mentee matches as Big/Little matches. This fall, after current mentor/mentee matches in the county are enrolled in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, the agency will begin enrolling new mentors and youth.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio.
