Wind Farm equipment move to force closure of a section of Highway 14 Thursday

Charles City, Iowa – Construction crews working on the re-power of the Charles City Wind Farm will be closing a portion of Highway 14 on Thursday morning so they can move a piece of heavy machinery.

According to Pete Hjelmstad with the Iowa Department of Transportation, the equipment move could be lengthy process.

Hjelmstad said the closure will between T47 and T38 and will be from 7am until 10am.
